HAND DRUMMING WORKSHOPS

DRUM UP SOME FUN - KIDS (8 – 13 years)

DATE: Wednesday, April 27 – June 22 (no class May 18)
TIME: 4:30 - 5:15 p.m. $100 / members $85
LOCATION: ArtsPlace, Blackbox Theater

In this class, kids will learn basic African drumming techniques and will have the opportunity to improvise and jam with a variety of rhythm instruments. Together they will learn a group drumming piece that will be performed at the final class. Give your child the gift of music! All instruments will be provided.

DRUM UP SOME FUN - FAMILIES

In this class, all family members will learn basic African drumming techniques and rhythms. Together as a family you will enjoy learning new rhythms, creating music together, and moving around to sweet beats! Step in and find your family rhythm. All instruments provided.

TIME: 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. $105/ members $89.25

In this class, you will learn basic African drumming techniques and rhythms. By the end of this 8 week session, we will have a few African ensembles finished. Included in each session will be the opportunity to improvise and jam. Find your inner beat and hear the rhythms of those around you. All instruments provided.
